Pharmaceutics

Every candidate pursuing M Pharm course is required to carry out work on a selected research project under the guidance of a subject teacher. The results of such a work shall be submitted in the form of a dissertation.

The dissertation is aimed to train a postgraduate student in research methods and techniques. It includes identification of the problem, formulation of hypothesis, review of literature, getting acquainted with recent advances, designing of a research study, collection of data, critical analysis and comparison of results and drawing conclusions.

Pharmaceutics deals with development of delivery systems having optimized & individualized therapy. Thrust areas of research in the department of Pharmaceutics include –

  • Formulation development and characterization of conventional oral and modified release dosage forms, technology transfer in conventional formulation,
  • Investigation and identification of different techniques for solubility enhancement,
  • Novel drug delivery systems (Polymeric & lipid based nanosystems), ocular drug delivery systems, targeted drug delivery system, mucoadhesive drug delivery systems.
Eligibility:

The candidate seeking admission to Master of Pharmacy (2 Year Degree Course) should be graduate in pharmacy wirh at least 50% marks. Cadidate who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC (excluding creamy layer) categories of Madhya Pradesh with at least 45% marks. Bachelors degree be of minimum of four years duration should have been obtained from any AICTE approved institution or Indian University or from foreign University recognized by association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the AIU as equivalent thereto.

Candidate in the final year of above degree examinations can also apply on provisional basis. But at the time of counseling, such candidates shall have to produce the original certificate of having passed/mark sheet (showing aggregates marks) of the degree program.

Candidates can apply online and offline for M. Pharm. courses admission and can get admission on the basis of merit list declaration by the authority. Candidate who qualified GPAT get preference for admission.

Domicile Requirement:

Candidate belonging to SC, ST & OBC (Excluding Creamy Layer) category shall be selected for admission against the seats reserved for them should be a citizen of India and domicile certificate issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar/Nayab Tehsildar) for admission in educational institute as per guidelines issued by General Administrative Department, Government of M.P. wide their letter No. C-3-7-2013-3-Ek dated 29 June 2013.
